Our Future

A place to say

"Rural" is sometimes used to mean "static." It shouldn't. North Saanich's future depends on being a community where people of every age can live, gather, and stay. That means deliberate investment in the things that make staying possible: a year-round community gathering space, expanded medical access, accessibility standards in parks and public spaces, and the policy work to keep all of it on track. The community-building happening right now, at Wain Park, through the Shoreline Medical Clinic expansion, and through the new Age-Friendly Community Working Group, is precisely what turns "rural" from a description of the past into a vision for the future.
